Experience A Royal Journey With Maharaja Travel India

During the British Raj Maharjas often travelled in extravagant personal carriages. These carriages were adorned with sumptuous carvings, majestic mosaics and expensive jewels which made these carriages look luxurious. To induce the glory and grandeur of that era in modern times, IRCTC introduced India’s expensive train, the Maharaja Express.

Royal cabins of Maharaja Express

This royal train has 14 luxurious cabins, each cabin is given an exquisite name after a precious stone like Moti (Pearl), Heera (Diamond), Neelam (Blue Sapphire), Feroza (Turquoise), Monga (Coral), and Pukhraj (Sapphire), among others.

The cabins offer luxurious amenities and are further divided into four categories Deluxe Cabin, Junior Suite, Suite, and Presidential Suite. The presidential suite is also known as Navratna, it is spread across an entire carriage and has bedrooms, a living room, a dining area and a fancy private bathroom with a grand bathtub.

The train can accommodate up to 88 guests in a single journey. The cabin of the royal train is a marvel decorated with linen, semi-precious stones, antiques, and beautiful carpets. Passengers can enjoy magnificent views through the windows while indulging in the royal decor and ultramodern facilities at par with international standards.

Luxurious journey with modern facilities

Unlike the days of Maharajas and maharanis, the train has all the facilities you require such as LCD TV, Direct Dial Telephone, a choice of twin or king-size beds, Channel music, electronic safety deposit box, private bathrooms with premium toiletries, DVD players, and much more to sure that royal experience is full of comfort.
